A re-engineered ledge grip design (on the 5KG & 10LB and above) also introduces tapered, recessed handle cut-outs on both sides. This allows athletes to quickly grab and pick-up from the center of the plate—no matter which side is facing out— rather than having to reach their fingers under the plate’s edges when it’s flat on the ground.
